Help! I have a gy child, will beano stop the farting?

We had beans last night. Now our 9 year old can not stop farting. She is due at school soon, and I am worried about her getting made fun of. It is really bad. Will beano treat the gas? I know that it is supposed to prevent, but I am unsure about treatment.
