What is wrong with my friend I am worried about her(shes 23)?

I'd defiantly say try to get her to get checked out. I think it sounds a bit like your friend may have ms - Multiple Sclerosis, although she doesn't show signs that they describe for ms having worked with lots of sufferers families they often describe things like you have as being at the time they thought something might be wrong. Often diagnosis took a while after sometimes years even but what you describe certainly reminds me of that.
