Disk.sys startup freeze?

I shut my computer down one night, and in the morning the next day it would hang on the starting windows splash screen. I then entered safe mode and it stops at disk.sys. I have reinstalled, formatted, and replaced files. But to no avail. Please help, I need to fix my computer before work experience comes.
