Has anyone had tadpoles?

Hi, I realise that i have now asked several questions on tadpoles, But im starting to worry. I have not yet seen my tadpole eat. He is a golden Bell Frog tadpole, and is only young (Would be about one inch long), and he just sits there all day, on his rock. I really want him to turn into a frog. I have had tadpoles before, but they ALL died. I dont want ollie to die aswell. Im currently feeding ollie boiled and frozen lettuce, and some fish flakes. Although I put them into the water, he always swims away, and i never see him eating AT ALL! What should i do? 10 points best answer. Anyone who has had tadpoles could u please tell me if yours were the same?
